Improving clinical trial recruitment
CRAFT (Clinical Research, Analysis and Feasibility Tool) is an i3 application that allows for both the assessment of protocol feasibility and the identification of investigators in near-real time.
The breadth of its data source and the application’s flexibility enables CRAFT to improve the potential for successful patient enrollment by:
- Identifying providers experienced with clinical trials
- Stratifying investigators by types of clinical experience within our vast research database
- Quantifying patient populations through combinations of clinical and demographic characteristics
- Providing patient and investigator distributions by geographic locale
Improving protocol feasibility and investigator identification
CRAFT applies technology to mine a proprietary research database that includes the integrated enrollment, medical claims, prescription claims, and lab results data for millions of lives annually. This de-identified, geographically diverse data set enables i3 to target placement of investigative sites based on available patient populations, geographic location, and clinical trial experience.
The real-world, near-real time information that CRAFT delivers can help i3 clinicians dramatically increase the potential for successful patient enrollment. Similarly, CRAFT informs decision making during the feasibility and investigator recruitment process.
CRAFT provides a level of focus on real-world experience that drives patient enrollment.
Simplify the challenge of patient recruitment
By using CRAFT to find potential investigators who have treated patients meeting clinical trial protocol specifications, the opportunity exists to significantly decrease both the cost of conducting trials and the time required to take a new drug to market. |
